FAQ: Read Analytics

Question:

Do the From -To fields allow to select a range of editions, or the time range during which the reading happened?

Answer:

These allow to select the editions in the given time range, it does not care about when the editions have been opened or read.

Example: 

From: 22/07/2015 - To: 22/07/2015 will get all openings, and readings of the editions of 22/07/2015, independently from when these accesses have been done.

Question:

Why does the total number of readers under Device differ from the total number of readers under OS?

Answer:

readers under Device represents the number of unique users (each counted only once) logged from the specified device family. 

readers under OS represents the number of unique users logged using a given operating system.

Example:

A user has an iPhone and an iPad. She gets logged using her iPad and reads. Later that day she gets logged in with her iPhone and reads. 

Under the Devices section, the tablet count increases by 1 and the also the smartphone count increases by 1. 

While under the OS section only the iOS count would increase by 1.
