Facebook, Google+ social login update

Dear publisher,

As you might know, the VirtualNewspaper system interacts with third party software to offer you a better service and improve your user experience. In this case we worked with Google and Facebook to give you a better Social Login service.
Such services require data that we need you to supply us. Through this step by step guide we'll show you exactly how to obtain such data and to configure your VirtualNewspaper platform to benefit from such services.

We ask you to check if the actual configuration of your virtualnewspaper is compliant to the specs behind and to notify it to us with an email to "supporto@virtualcom.it".

GOOGLE :

1. Go to: "https://console.developers.google.com/project" and login with your Google Account
2. Click on "Create Project", and submit the following info

Project Name
Accept the Terms and Conditions
and click on Create

3. Wait for the project to be created and you'll be redirected to your Project Dashboard

4. Form the APIS & AUTH, section on the top-left side of the page, select APIS

5. Click on the butotn on the rightmost column to turn on the Google+ API service

6. To Enable the Google+ API, read and accept the terms of service

7. Once the service is active, you'll see it on your dashboard with status ON

8. From the APIS & AUTH section, click on Credentials

9. Click on Create new Client ID

10. To create a new Client ID, you must

Choose "Web Application" as Application Type
Insert your domain as an authorized Javascript origin (If you want to set multiple domains, insert each domain on a new line);
Insert your authorized redirect URI: (don't forget the protocol es "http://localhost" and don't use relative paths)
Click on "Save";

11. Navigate to your VirtualNewspaper backend's Settings panel and set your CLIENT ID and Secret IDs you have just obtained and click on Save.

FACEBOOK:

1. Go to "https://developers.facebook.com/" login to your account

2. If you already have a developer account, just click on Add a New App otherwise click on the Register as Developer button and follow the easy instructions.

Select WWW

Select "skip and create an app id"

3. To create a new App page, insert
Display Name: which is the name that will be shown in the app
Namespace: "Your platform name"
Category

and click on Create Application

4. Insert the captcha and click on Send

5. Click on Setting on the leftmost side of the page and fill the following fields
App Domains: your domain
Contact email
Click on + Add Platform

6. Choose Website

7. Insert your sites URL with the same domain inserted in step 5 and click Save

8. Click on Status & Review from the left side panel, and activate your Application clicking on the YES/NO button.

9. Navigate to your VirtualNewspaper backend's Settings panel and click on the gear icon, for each title set your Facebook App ID and Facebook App Secret Secret keys
that you find on your Facebook Dashboard and click on Save.
