Business Subscriptions
How it works
Some users want to buy multiple digital subscriptions and distribute them among coworkers, friends and so forth. This is the case of some companies who want to give their workers a subscription.
This has been elegantly solved by the VirtualNewspaper.
- create a Business Product with N users.
- business products will generate a Business Order with N Child-orders on their purchasal.
- (N+1) orders are at first all associated to the purchaser,
- purchaser can send vouchers to up to N people,
- the receivers of the vouchers in turn will be able to activate the child-orders for free
- the activation will associate a child order to the customer who has performed the operation
Create the Business Product
To create a business product, go to the Products module and click on New Product. You'll need to select "Business Users", and set the number of people it is meant to be used by.
Purchasing a business product
Go to the shop and select the business product you want to buy, as you would do with any other product.
Email Notifications
The business subscriber, will receive 2 email notifications: the usual order activation and a Business Voucher Customization email. The second email contains a link, click on the latter to customize the vouchers.
Business voucher customization page
This page allows you to create a customized voucher that you can send to the people you want to use the business orders you have purchased. The page contains detailed instructions for your addresses on how to activate an order among those you have purchased.
Download zip
Once you have personalized the voucher, you can download the PDFs in a zipped folder, which you can extract and send to your addresses.
Business Order Activation page
Following the instructions on the voucher, will lead your addresses to the business page, where they can insert the code shown on the voucher and activate the order
Login / Registration
A successful order activation will lead to the user registration or login. Notice that the user of the business code, does not have to pay, since the order has already been paid for.
Order activated
The user that has logged in will be able to see the active business order from his profile.
Orders module
As the purchase is complete, in the back end, from the Orders module, a new Business Order will be generated. You can recognize business orders from the business-like bag icon.
Order detail
From the detail of the order you can recognize the type of order by the "Multiuser order" icon and labels. Next to this icon, there's a button to view the complete list of child orders.
Child-orders
From the list of child orders, you can see which ones have been activated by the account that is associated to them.
