A pre-roll ad is a 15 or 30-second promotional video message that plays before the content the user has selected.
Sometimes, by clicking on them, users are directed to another site.
N.B. Preroll can only be activated on video content that contains uploaded videos and it doesn't work on videos that are included with Youtube URLs or embedded by other resources.
1. Check banner format
First of all we need to check if the banner format Preroll Flowplayer (or Preroll Video ) is available.
If not, you can contact our support by support.it@miles33.com
[N.B. the description of the banner should be Preroll Flowplayer or Preroll Video, but the format must be preroll_flowplayer]
2. Create a new banner
Create a new banner with the correct format (Preroll Flowplayer or Preroll Video).
(Read here for more information about banner creation)
In the code to be inserted in the banner must absolutely be the var link_preroll declaration, as in the screen above.
Then, like in any new banner, select the section(s) where the preroll must be displayed.
3. Activate the pre-roll in the contents you want
Now the last step.
You have to go to the video contents where you want the preroll to appear, enter the video and then check the "Enable preroll" checkbox.
N.B. The contents should be published in the sections where the preroll (banner) was activated in the previous step.
Then save and publish the content.
