Gift activation codes expiration date made customizable

Settings

By default the gift codes used to be valid up to 1 month after creation. Now this value has been changed to 2 months. Moreover, from the Settings panel, the Editor can set the months of validity of gift codes to whatever value he/she prefers.

Shop

Users that want to use the gift featue would have to do the following. Go to the shop and select the product you want to give as a gift and go through the registration or login process

Gift page

then the user has to click on the gift option

Checked gift

Once you've checked the gift option, it will be marked as such

Email inbox

As soon as the user completes the checkout process, his/her order will be activated and he/she'll receive, other than the usual order activation email, also one containing a link to customize his/her gift cards.

Edit gift card

Once on the page to edit your gift card, you can add a personalized message and send it to your fiends.

Gift PDF

the lucky receiver of your gift will get your card in PDF format, where he'll find the code that he'll be able to use to activate it. The code has to be used within the time frame you established for it.

Orders

From the detail of the gift order, you'll be able to see the status of the order (activated or not), the validity of the code (valid or expired), and the ability to extend its validity.
